3. Who is your typical/usual client?
Our clients range from families who need help getting their home back in order, to the professional who works from home, to the small business owner.

4. Can you describe your organizing process/approach?
We believe that every client is unique and so is their need for organizing services. We work with each client to define their needs for each space and create a plan that suits their work style and budget. We customize our approach for each client as we have found that some enjoy working with us one-on-one and others just want the clutter to magically disappear.

5. What does a typical working session look like?
Again, this depends on the client. After our initial call, the first visit with every client is an Assessment Visit. During this 1 hour visit, we take a walk through the area to gain a better understanding of the information gathered during our initial call. The Assessment Visit allows us the opportunity to discuss what is working for you and identify areas of opportunity for improvement. We will work together to create a vision for the space and begin creating a plan.
After the Assessment Visit, we will discuss the needs of the space you are wishing to organize and create a plan using organizing sessions (amount varies depending on individual client needs). These sessions will have you working one-on-one with our professional organizer to de-clutter your space and create a system and process that meets your family and/or business needs. Some individuals prefer not to be involved in the process every step of the way, and if that’s your style, we’re happy to take over the work for you. We will sort, clear, clean, and organize so that the end result is a space that is efficient and allows you to be productive. Having someone to guide you through the process will make organizing easier. During these sessions, we will provide you with tips on how to maintain your space as acquiring new things is an inevitable part of any home/office.

8. How long will it take for my room / space to be organized?
The amount of time it takes to complete each project depends on the size of the space and the size of the clutter. File Fairy typically works in four hour blocks of time as we have found this allows for the greatest progression with each session.

9. What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation of a scheduled appointment with less than 48 hours notice will be billed at 50 percent of the agreed upon rate or time scheduled. We want our clients to take responsibility for their project and time.

File Fairy recognizes that change is difficult. Just because your space can change quickly, doesn’t necessarily mean the habits will. We pride ourselves in ensuring that the system we worked together to implement for your space is meeting your needs and is easy to maintain through free File Fairy follow-up for one month following your paid service. We realize that minor changes may be needed once you start working in your newly organized space and we are happy to help.
